Hardware requirements are derived from the software requirements below. The device has to be able to run the minimum iOS / Android version that is required.

• Processor: Windows: x86 or x64, Mac: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz

• Memory: 4GB RAM (Minimum), 8GB RAM (Recommended)

• Storage: S-ATA with at least 4GB free storage (Minimum), SSD with at least 8GB free storage (Recommended)

• Monitor Resolution: 1280x800 (Minimum), 1920x1200 (Recommended)

Minimum Hardware Requirements for Offline Field Operation

Purpose
This defines the recommended minimum device specification for running fentuFSM in the field with reliable offline capability, calibrated for local data storage, sync queue, and photo/attachment handling under typical field service workloads.

Recommended Specification (comfortable, futureproof for 3+ years)

• Device type: Tablet recommended for field use

• CPU: A78-class cores or newer (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1+, Dimensity 6100+, Exynos 1380)

• RAM: 8 GB

• Storage: 128 GB

• OS: Android 14/15, with guaranteed OEM update policy (4+ years, e.g. newer Samsung models)

• Durability: IP-rated or rugged case recommended for field use (Samsung Tab Active series if rugged Samsung preferred)

• Battery: 5,000 mAh or greater, to support a full field shift

Notes for iOS and Android

• Offline storage footprint assumes ~6 months of work order history plus standard photo/attachment retention (~1–2 GB total)

• RAM is the primary constraint for Ionic/Angular apps, since the WebView runtime shares device memory — devices below 8 GB may lag even if other specs are met

• Guaranteed OS update policy ensures continued WebView security patching over the device's field lifetime

Customers aren’t blocked from using the fentu mobile app on untested devices that meet current platform requirements.

Available empty storage: We recommend to have at least 15% of the available disk space free at all times to ensure proper and fast function of the application and all of its features.

• Database Size: Downloaded database on your device should not exceed 400MB.

• Number of Objects: Maximum of 10,000 objects for optimal performance.

• Attachment Size: 20MB per file (maximum).

Internet Connection

• Minimum: 2024 kbit/s

• Recommended: 5120 kbit/s
